TakeoverBoard

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information TakeoverBoard ("the Service") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Your privacy matters to us.

1. Information We Collect

  • Content you place on the board — the name, message, link, or image you submit. This is public by design: anyone visiting the board can see it.
  • Payment and billing information — your name, email, and payment details are collected and processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Technical usage data — standard web server logs (such as IP address and request metadata), used to operate and secure the Service.

2. How We Use Information

  • To operate the board and display the current content on the board;
  • To process and confirm payments, with Paddle as merchant of record;
  • To moderate content and prevent abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms;
  • To maintain, secure, and improve the Service.

3. Public-by-Default Content

Anything you place on the board — including your chosen name and content — becomes publicly visible to all visitors and may be embedded, shared, or archived by others. Do not post information you consider private. We are not responsible for third-party use of publicly displayed content.

4. Third Parties

We share information only with the service providers needed to run the Service:

  • Paddle — payment processing, billing, and refunds. Paddle acts as merchant of record and its own privacy policy applies to the payment data it handles.
  • Supabase and Vercel — database and hosting infrastructure.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Cookies

The Service itself uses minimal or no tracking cookies. Paddle's checkout may set cookies required for its payment flow; please see Paddle's privacy policy for details.

6. Data Retention

Takeover records (name, content, price paid, timestamps) are kept in our database to operate the Service and are visible in public history. If you would like your record removed, contact us using the details below and we will consider your request in line with applicable law.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

8. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age under applicable law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
